Your agreement

These service terms are an agreement between you and StyleApply (Style Guide Scanner). By continuing to use the service, you accept these terms. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement or appropriate parent or guardian authorization, and authority to act for any organization you represent.

The service and your account

StyleApply provides AI-assisted suggestions for pasted text in Chicago, APA, MLA, AP and Harvard style, with explanations and highlighted changes. Optional spelling and grammar review is available. The citation builder formats supplied source details; AP outputs are attribution drafts. Review suggestions before using them. Pasted text does not verify document layout or the existence of sources. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not regulated professional advice; obtain qualified oversight where needed. Uninterrupted or error-free performance is not guaranteed.

Provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials and take responsibility for activity under your account. Free accounts require sign-in and have usage limits. Paid access is subject to the limits on our pricing page.

Payments and subscriptions

The Member plan is US$9.99 per month, billed monthly and renewing automatically until canceled. Applicable taxes and the final amount appear at checkout. Cancel through the subscription management link in your receipt or at paddle.net to stop future renewals. Access normally continues through the paid billing period, unless a refund or termination ends it sooner. No card is required for free scans; invitation-only pilot access is separate and does not create a paid subscription.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, intellectual-property infringement, illegal content, abusive or hateful content, deceptive deepfakes, malware or security interference. Do not probe systems, scrape without permission, circumvent usage limits, jailbreak safeguards, or attempt unauthorized access. You are responsible for your prompts, the rights to your input, verifying outputs and how you use them.

Intellectual property and your content

StyleApply retains ownership of the service’s software, documentation and branding. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it under your plan; you may not resell the service or reverse engineer it except where law permits. Third-party style guides and templates remain their owners’ property; StyleApply is independent of those organizations.

You retain your rights in input content. You grant us only the permission necessary to process it and provide the service through our providers. We claim no ownership of your inputs or generated suggestions; any rights you may have in outputs remain yours, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. Outputs are not guaranteed to be unique or copyrightable. Submit rights-holder complaints to info@styleapply.com, identifying the material, the right claimed and a way to contact you. Repeated infringement may lead to termination.

Moderation and ending access

We may refuse or filter outputs, remove or restrict content, or suspend or terminate accounts for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or serious or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion through support; cancel any paid subscription separately to stop billing. We handle personal data as described in our privacy notice.

Your legal rights and updates

Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. We may update these terms and will communicate material changes through the site or account email before they take effect. Questions about this agreement may be sent to info@styleapply.com.
