Privacy notice

Who is responsible

StyleApply (Style Guide Scanner) is the data controller for personal information used to operate this service. Contact info@styleapply.com for privacy questions or requests.

Information we use and why

  • Account information: email address, account identifier, authentication credentials handled by our authentication provider, and sign-in or confirmation information. We use these to create and secure accounts and provide access (contract performance and legitimate interests in security).
  • Submitted text and style choices: text you ask us to scan, selected style and optional spelling/grammar settings are sent to AI service providers to return suggestions (contract performance). Avoid submitting sensitive personal information or material you do not have permission to share. Our scanner does not save your full text or results in the account database; providers may process or retain service logs under their own policies.
  • Usage and access records: word counts, timestamps, subscription status and pilot membership are used to enforce your account allowance and manage access (contract performance and legitimate interests in preventing misuse). Free allowances use your account, not IP addresses or tracking cookies.
  • Support and communications: contact details, support messages, waitlist email and chosen style, and invitation delivery records help us respond, send requested updates and manage pilot invitations (contract performance, consent for requested updates, and legitimate interests in support). The owner receives account-creation, waitlist and support notifications. Ask us to stop optional updates at any time.
  • Technical and analytics data: hosting and analytics providers may process page visits, referring sites, approximate region, device/browser information, network addresses and diagnostic logs for operating, securing and understanding site use (legitimate interests, or consent where required). These records are separate from free scan allowances.

Who receives information

We share information as necessary with service providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, AI processing, analytics and email delivery, including Lovable Cloud and its subprocessors. Paddle is our Merchant of Record and receives information for product sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing; its handling of payment information is described in Paddle’s Privacy Policy. We may also share relevant information with professional legal or accounting advisers and authorities where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

We keep account and access records while needed to provide your account, support and security. Support and communication records are kept while needed to resolve requests or manage the relationship. Billing-related records may be retained for legally required accounting and tax periods. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, subject to legal obligations, dispute handling and routine backup cycles. Provider-held logs and backups follow the relevant provider’s retention practices. You may request deletion through support.

Security and international processing

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections, authentication and access controls. No service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing and complain to your local data protection authority. Send requests to info@styleapply.com; we may verify your identity. We respond within the period required by applicable law, including normally one month for UK/EEA requests. These rights are subject to lawful exceptions.

Cookies and browser storage

Essential cookies or browser storage keep you signed in, support checkout and preserve a pilot invitation during sign-in. They are not used to assign free word allowances. Hosting or payment providers may use essential security storage and process analytics. You can clear or block cookies and site storage in your browser; doing so may sign you out or prevent checkout. We do not add advertising cookies. Where consent is required for optional tracking, it must be obtained before that tracking is used.
